Inspired by the poetry of Leonard Cohen and the music of Antony and the Johnsons, Tales from the Book of Longing unfolds in an episodic landscape of sinuous moments out of reach and quiet scenes of missed chances. This work weaves its way through a world of frayed relationships teetering on the edge of change.

Tales from the Book of Longing premiered at the Guthrie Theater in 2009. Music: Antony and the Johnsons, Otis Redding, Carla Bruni, Anouar Brahem, Philip Glass, Henryk Gorecki, Ethel, Neverwas, Michelle Kinney, and Giya Kanchelli.
